Kassidy was born and raised in central Florida. She has always had an interest for animals and knew she wanted to work with them in some capacity in the future. She graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida in 2021. During her time in college, she had the opportunity to explore a variety of scientific topics including entomology, horticulture, and marine biology. It was after exploring these topics she realized she had such a large passion for zoos and their conservation efforts and wanted to pursue a career in that field.
Kassidy started her career with NEI as a seasonal keeper in August 2021 and became a full time member a couple of months after. She’s excited about everything she has learned and can’t wait to grow even more here at NEI. On her days off you can catch her trying new coffee shops, reading, or hanging out with friends.
