(NEI) is seeking motivated, creative, and career-oriented individuals to join our team as Full-Time Animal Trainers to help shape the future of animal care and education.

At NEI, we specialize in animal training and educational program production, partnering with zoological facilities worldwide to develop behavior management programs and teach the art and science of animal training. With multiple projects underway, we have immediate openings for skilled trainers ready to tackle exciting challenges.

What You’ll Do:

·         Provide top-quality animal care and training at our NEI Training and Education Center in Winter Haven, Florida.

·         Assist with animal husbandry, diet preparation, and medication administration.

·         Maintain a clean, enriching environment for a variety of species, adhering to USDA, AZA, and industry best practices.

·         Communicate observations regarding animal welfare and behavior.

·         Thrive in a team-oriented culture that values collaboration, growth, and innovation.

·         Some individuals will contribute to the development of inspirational and engaging educational programs and participate in live educational presentations.

What We’re Looking For:

·         Experience: 2+ years in a full-time professional animal training role, either in exhibit animal training or in shows and interactive programs. Exceptional candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.

·         Knowledge: Strong understanding of behavior science principles with hands-on training experience across multiple species (mammals, birds, herps, etc.).

·         Skills: Excellent observational awareness, communication, and teamwork.

·         Flexibility: Ability to travel on short notice and work weekends, holidays is preferred but not required.

·         Travel: Willingness to relocate semi-annually for 4-6 month projects anywhere in the U.S is preferred but not required.

·         Physical Requirements: Ability to work in warm, humid conditions (90+ degrees), lift up to 50 lbs., and stand/walk for extended periods.
