Lindsey Oak

Lindsey Oak was born and raised in Northern Kentucky where she grew up on Cincinnati’s favorites, Skyline Chili and Graeter’s Ice Cream. Lindsey always had a passion for educating others along with caring for animals. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in Biology. Her dream after college, was to go back to where she grew up and work at the Cincinnati Zoo. That’s where her love for birds came from. Lindsey got an internship at the Wings of Wonder Bird Show at the Cincinnati Zoo right out of college, and the summer after she became a seasonal and started speaking shows.
Lindsey connected with Lucy Rutt, who inspired her to move down to Florida and continue her bird show career with NEI as a seasonal at Feathered Friends in Flight. Within 3 months, Lindsey became a Full-Time Trainer with NEI in March 2026. She is constantly inspired by her hard working team of trainers around her and is beyond grateful to be working at NEI continuing her passion for inspiring others and working with birds (and rats).
Since moving to Orlando, Florida, Lindsey loves spending her free time going to the Disney parks with her coworkers and sitting out on her apartment balcony with her cat, Lulu.
