Nathan was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up, he spent countless days volunteering at the Cincinnati Museum Center developing a passion for animals and natural behavior. Nathan went on to graduate from the Pikes Peak Zoo Keeping School in Colorado. He started his career in the raptor rehabilitation field and then moved on to intern and work at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Nathan attended an NEI workshop in 2018 and then join the team later that same year.
Since joining the team, Nathan has take part in may NEI shows including Winged Encounters and Feathered Friends in Flight. He has also consulted and worked in shows at many other locations including the State Fair of Texas, Bearizona Wildlife Park, Roger Williams Park Zoo, and Minnesota Zoo. He is also an active instructor in many of NEI’s workshops.
Nathan is an active member of IAATE and AAZK. He has been certified as a professional bird trainer (CPBT-KA).
He is always looking forward to the next chapter and growing alongside others.
