Taylor was born and raised in North Carolina. Her passion for animals started at a young age and one of her favorite places to visit growing up was always the North Carolina Zoo. Taylor was able to turn her passion into a career by receiving a degree in Zoo Science at Davidson County Community College. While in school she had the opportunity to participate in three different internships that allowed her to work with a variety of animals, her favorites being African penguins and Grizzly bears.
Taylor started her career with NEI as a seasonal trainer at Winged Encounters in late December 2020. She feels so blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a positive team and is so excited to continue to grow with NEI. In her free time Taylor enjoys playing basketball with her little brother and spending time with her dog and cat.
