Taylor LaTulipe

Taylor LaTulipe was born and raised in the mountains of western North Carolina. Her love for wildlife and conservation started at a young age as she enjoyed being outside and exploring the world around her. Birds have been her favorite group of animals for as long as she can remember. She loved the mountainous region of North Carolina, but aspired to learn more about coastal habitats. This drive led her to Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.

Taylor received her Bachelor of Science degree in Coastal Environmental Science and a Biology minor from Flagler College in the Spring of 2021. Throughout her undergraduate journey, she completed various internships and a part-time position at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. After graduation, she was hired as a full-time Bird and Mammal Zookeeper where she cared for a variety of species from parrots, vultures, songbirds, and cassowaries to sloths, lemurs, porcupines, and other small primates. One of her favorite aspects of the position were the shows and public programs provided to the guests on a daily basis. She loved connecting with people from all over the world who came to visit. Taylor continued to have a strong desire to learn more and persued a Masters in Biology degree from Project Dragonfly at Miami University, graduating in the Fall of 2024. Throughout her Masters program, she created various outreach programs at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm for various audiences.

Taylor has been with NEI since April of 2025 and has loved every second of it. Training has always been one of her favorite skill sets and has continued to grow and fine tune her abilities. She is so excited for this next part of her story.

In her free time, Taylor loves to read, explore Orlando/be outside, go to Halloween Horror Nights/the Disney Parks, and dance. She also has a NAUI SCUBA certification and loves to paddle board.
